Privacy policy

Last updated 3 October 2026. This policy covers FlagMingo: World Flag Quiz, FlagMingo: Find the country and FlagMingo: Little Adventures, published by Superlabs Pty Ltd (Super Labs), Australia.

Play and learn on your device

All three installed games include their game content for offline play. None contains advertising, advertising tracking, analytics SDKs or in-app purchases. None requests GPS, contacts, camera or microphone access. Map guesses and Mingo’s position in a miniature city are game locations, not your physical location.

World Flag Quiz stores answers, scores, practice statistics, saved rounds and settings locally. It does not send gameplay to our servers. Find the country stores progress, personal bests, practice information and completed solo scores locally. Pass & Play names and guesses stay on the device. Unfinished map games are not saved when you leave them.

Little Adventures keeps the current Sydney or New York flag hunt in memory while you play. It does not create an account, send gameplay to our servers or save flag progress. Leaving a city or closing the app ends that run; starting a city begins a new 16-flag hunt.

Optional cloud leaderboards in Find the country

Finished solo scores save on your device by default. In version 1.1, you can choose to share a completed score with the country and worldwide leaderboards. In version 1.2 and later, entering an emoji, three-letter arcade name and country after a game joins those boards and automatically queues future completed solo scores. You can play without joining.

When you join the leaderboards, Google Firebase creates an anonymous account identifier for this app installation. No email address or password is requested. We send that identifier, your emoji, arcade name, selected country, game settings and results to Firebase to operate and protect the leaderboards. Gameplay submissions include question identifiers and answers so the service can calculate scores; answers are not retained after validation. Run identifiers, settings, results and timestamps are retained to process submissions and prevent duplicates.

Your emoji, arcade name, country and ranked scores are visible to other leaderboard players. Please use an alias, not your real name or school details. Country is suggested from the device's region setting and can be changed before joining. It is not determined using GPS or IP geolocation.

Firebase processes technical request and security information, which can include IP addresses, timestamps and error information, to deliver, authenticate and protect the service. We do not use this information for advertising. Our leaderboard database and functions are hosted in Sydney; Google may process authentication and service information in other countries under its applicable terms. See Firebase privacy information.

Your choices, retention and deletion

Use Leaderboard > Remove cloud profile > Confirm removal to remove your public profile, scores, stored runs and anonymous authentication account. This leaves your local device scores and progress intact. Deletion needs an internet connection; if it fails, uploads pause and you can retry. Security, rate-limit and abuse-report records may be retained separately to protect the service. Contact us if you need help with a deletion request.

Cloud profiles and scores remain until removed. If you uninstall the app or clear its data before removing your cloud profile, you may lose access to its anonymous identity; contact support with your arcade name, country and approximate game date. Do not send passwords. We may need more information to verify a request.

When cloud service is unavailable, play and on-device scores continue. Cached rankings are marked as cached. Pending submissions are stored locally for up to seven days (up to 50 games) and may be retried when the service returns. Removing the cloud profile pauses further uploads.

The device leaderboard keeps up to 1,000 completed solo scores. Deleting Find the country removes local data; offloading may retain it. World Flag Quiz offers Settings > Reset progress. Apple backups may include local progress and restore it later. Browser editions store progress in the browser separately from iOS; clearing website data removes it.

Children, families and public names

FlagMingo is designed for learning. Children should ask a parent or guardian before sharing a public arcade profile. No real name, date of birth, school, email or password is required to play. Families can keep all scores on the device. Public leaderboards have no chat, photos or messaging. A report-and-hide control is available beside other players' entries; reports contain anonymous reporter and target identifiers and are used for moderation.
